The last time I sang at the Blue Note Tokyo was with the fabulous band, Incognito, as their guest soloist, for the Christmas/New Year shows in December/January - 2005/2006! Currently I’m composing a ‘One Woman Show’ musical, about the love story of my grandparents who raised me. These experiences inspired the concept of a ‘Soul Trio’ band, with me singing and playing the piano, accompanied by two additional musicians. Being able to sing in such an intimate atmosphere, so that the songs can breathe life into the story of the music, is a creative element that I’ve longed to express for quite some time and it’s thrilling to finally have the chance to share this at the Blue Note Tokyo!
